Besides the direct impact of the projects undertaken by the company that upscales and develops rural communities, the company directly contributes towards developing communities through the Malalasekera Foundation and the Foundation of Goodness.

The Malalasekera Foundation was developed to maintain and safeguard the great legacy of Prof. Gunapala Malalasekera for future generations. The vision of the foundation is to build on the rich heritage of Sri Lanka. Additionally, the foundation aims to create a value system among the youth of the country towards a dynamic and progressive future. This is achieved by forging harmonious relationships amongst all people in Sri Lanka by creating and maintaining establishments for enhancing knowledge, language and technological skills as well as by restoring and preserving temples and monuments that contain our cultural diversity.

Established in 1999, the Foundation of Goodness is a not-for-profit NGO registered in both Sri Lanka and the USA was set up by Kushil Gunesekera, to provide essential services to his ancestral village of Seenigama.  Since then, he has been joined by a dedicated Board of Trustees and a committed team based in Seenigama and Colombo, all working together with villagers and donors to uplift the lives of rural communities in Sri Lanka. Today, the Foundation of Goodness, with their holistic approach to bridging the gap between the urban and rural sector in Sri Lanka, has established 10 Village Heartbeat Empowerment Centres Island-wide in addition to the MCC Centre of Excellence and Sports Academy which are the project headquarters in Seenigama through which they touch over 31,500 lives annually from 400+ villages via 30 sectors in action, free of cost.
