The Greater Colombo Water and Wastewater Management Improvement Investment Program (Tranche 3) is enhancing the efficiency and financial sustainability of water supply and wastewater services in Colombo. The initiative focuses on rehabilitating the city’s water supply network, minimizing water losses, and reducing non-revenue water. Additionally, it includes the expansion and modernization of the wastewater system, along with the construction of a new wastewater treatment facility. These improvements are significantly enhancing the quality of life for tens of thousands of residents in the Greater Colombo area—particularly women and low-income communities—by ensuring a reliable 24-hour water supply, allowing more time for productive activities. Arinma and Ceywater are actively facilitating sub-construction works as part of this initiative.
