Arinma Power’s 10MW Wind Power Project in Kalpitiya is a strategic initiative that strengthens Sri Lanka’s energy security by harnessing the region’s high wind potential. The project directly supports the country’s commitment to achieving 70% renewable energy generation by 2030, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and integrating more clean energy into the national grid.

By utilizing Goldwind turbines and capitalizing on mean wind speeds of 7.2 – 8.0 m/s, the project ensures high efficiency with a 42% plant factor—maximizing energy output from Kalpitiya’s robust wind resources. Additionally, the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) has allocated exclusive rights for the project’s development, reinforcing its strategic importance.
 

Beyond contributing to the nation’s renewable energy targets, the project aligns with global sustainability standards, significantly reducing carbon emissions and advancing Sri Lanka’s transition to a greener, more resilient energy future.
